Say yes to both comfort and style with a pair of classic sneakers (think white or light- colored) that will make your weekend runaround a fashionable breeze. Looking for something casual and more polished? Try out a pair of flats. DARK HEELS While you may wish you could spend every day in flats and sneakers, there are occasions where your favorite casual shoes just won't do. Those times call for a good pair of heels—low or high, take your pick! Tired of the same ol' black pump? Go for navy, a great neutral that works well with seasonal colors year-round. SIMPLE EARRINGS When just a touch of jewelry is all you need, simple earrings are your go-to. Diamond studs are a popular choice, but there are several types of earrings (solid studs, hoops, etc.) that can serve as both a formal and a casual option. SCARF Solids and patterns and textures, oh my! Scarves are a great opportunity to add a splash of color or have a bit of fun with prints without committing to too much in your wardrobe. Neutral printed scarves can liven up nearly any outfit, with lighter options that can be worn during the warmer months. CLUTCH For days when you need to bring only a few things along for the ride, a great clutch bag can carry it all without taking up too much space. Choose a neutral color for those events where you don't want to divert attention from your outfit— or a vibrantly colored clutch to tell the world you're here. NECKLACE Whether it's an everyday option or a statement piece, a necklace is sometimes all you need to dress up even the most ordinary outfit. Keep it simple with a single strand, or kick it up a notch and go bold with a bright color. • By Susana Ramos F ashion trends may come and go, but some accessories are here to stay. Check out these classics—from studs to sneakers—that will help keep all of your ensembles looking their best. TOTE BAG So many places to be, so little time. Whether you're running weekend errands or heading toward your next office meeting, a great tote bag can complement your outfit and hold all of your essentials—a win-win. SUNGLASSES One essential to add to your tote bag? Shades, of course. Sunglasses come in many shapes, sizes, colors and prints that can make a subtle yet noticeable fashion statement. Their most important use, of course, is protecting your eyes. The National Eye Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health, recommends sunglasses that block out 99 to 100 percent of UVA and UVB radiation.
